Board Of Directors

The Camp Argo Board of Directors are a caring group of members that dedicate their time and talents to provide oversight to the organization.  The Board currently is made up of three individuals.

Jason Nevis - President
Laura Reynolds - Secretary
Valerie Mattei - Treasurer

Future Committees

In the future and in addition to the Board of Directors Camp Argo would like to have committees that are charged with handling a variety of responsibilities.  These committees would be made up of Board members and committee members that serve time limit terms.  The committees would include Area & Facilities, Board Stewardship, Development, Finance and Insurance, and Risk Management among others.  Occasionally, there would also be special Task Forces created to address specific issues.

Volunteers

Camp Argo and Camp Cedarcrest actively solicits and encourages community volunteers to work in its programs on behalf of the camps as an organization.  The use of volunteers improves the programs in many ways.  Volunteers serve as a communication channel between the facility and the community.  Volunteers also provide skills and services that would otherwise not be available.  Note: due to the types and sensitivity of clients we serve, in some instances, a volunteer application and background checks may be required prior to beginning volunteer work.

Volunteers can provide services that are limited in duration and help out in roles that do not involve more than incidental contact with Camp Argo campers, counselors and staff.  For example, maintenance chores, assist with the care of landscaping, clerical work, community relations, fundraising, development, and other areas to enrich the activities and services for the campers.
